REDBOX headed to Court for 'bait and switch'?
Over 200 residents of Cedar Park, Texas are taking their complaints about REDBOX alleged fraudulent "bait and switch" emails to District Attorney.
"You get unsolicited emails. One offers rent two movies on the same night and within 3 days - get a promo code for a free rental. I've been waiting almost a month."
When contacted - REDBOOK gives you a customer service telephone number. You pay the cost for the call and you are on hold for over ten minutes - WITHOUT talking to a representative."
Another one-time user: "I rented a DVD and it was so scratched. I couldn't view it. At least at Blockbuster they check them before they rent. To date - I've never received a refund or an email about this issue."
"Too bad. Redbox seemed so cool. You see them everywhere. Sad they became dishonest so quickly."
